After studying Industrial Design at the Milan Polytechnic, she has been part of the OTTO studio-Paola Navone team since 2004.
As Creative Director of OTTO, Cristina follows the entire creative process of product design, interiors, graphics and every visual and stylistic detail. Her passions for travel, art, fashion and photography come together in her projects through stylistic references and personal creative codes.
Cristina’s collection for Cosmonilia consists of necklaces, bracelets and rings with a refined and poetic image. Inspired by her fascination for beaded jewellery, which has always been a symbol of femininity and sensuality even in distant cultures, it represents a return to one of the earliest forms of jewellery in history.
The shapes are reminiscent of tribal ornaments: from African beaded jewellery, to traditional Burmese ring necklaces, to Maasai neck corsets.
DOT DOT has an essential, light yet expressive and decorative nature, with that hint of induced imperfection which pays homage to the uniqueness of handmade bead jewellery.
Teal and black, attractive and sophisticated colours, give the collection an unexpected metropolitan allure. Electric blue and orange tell of the wonderful suggestions of the world this collection has come from in a free and relaxed way.
